“Lady Strawberry” by Charlene Lanzel
During the pandemic lockdown of 2020, Charlene Lanzel began creating a series of collages, using materials she had on hand. These mixed media collages feature 19th Century Victorian illustrations, manipulated digitally, cut by hand and paired with acrylic painting and gold, silver or copper leaf accents. The whimsical themes are inspired by Surrealism and the Dada art movement, reflecting the nonsensical nature of the moment.
